简介：

北宋大文豪苏东坡（欧阳震华饰），因未能对亡妻忘怀，故对王闰之（万绮雯饰）的爱意视若无睹。但嗜吃的他最终被厨艺了得的闰之以“炖肥猪肉”触动心灵，遂结为夫妻。东坡以为婚后生活美满，家庭和睦，奈何各样家事却把他缠绕得头昏脑胀！既害怕苏小妹（黄心颖饰）被风流才子秦少游（王浩信饰）所骗，又担忧苏大妹（杨诗敏饰）对“河东狮吼”柳月娥（陈炜饰）的丈夫陈季常（泰臣饰）未能忘情；为拯救因正直不阿，屡受政敌压迫的弟弟苏辙（欧瑞伟饰）而疲于奔命；又要令儿子苏迈（林咏渝饰）接受新娘亲闰之，更要应付各种夫妻危机…除了家事外，东坡亦要面对朝廷上的明争暗斗：既要应付郡主（李亚男饰）的横蛮刁难，又与政见不同的丞相王安石（单立文饰）唇枪舌剑，更要想各种新奇方法令皇帝（张颕康饰）纳谏。及后东坡虽以“流民图”令安石罢相，却不知不觉又卷入辽国间谍琴操危害大宋的阴谋。更始料不及的是，琴操（马赛饰）其中一位手下原来是自己家人，更意欲挑拨自己和闰之关系！虽然东坡最终捣破种种阴谋，令大宋皇朝得以保全，皇帝却对他日渐猜忌，竟借机诬告东坡写反诗，誓要将他置于死地…
