内地与香港接壤的边界地区，因为长期边境禁区政策及城市发展策略的缘故，时间、空间仿佛停济在数十年前时空，与北方深圳及南方的香港市区形成强烈对比，亦因此形成独有的自然景观及村落人文文化。随着边境禁区自 2008 年起逐渐开放，香港市民对边境附近地区的兴趣渐增，有外来人口迁入，亦有旧居民带着新思维回流故居生活，本节目纪录十个边境村落中的人文故事，探索因为空间、自然景观及距离而形成的独特风貌。
