简介：
重案组督察万乔柏（郑嘉颖饰）凭著侥倖两个字在警队裡扶摇直上，因為兄嫂车祸双亡，担起扶养侄女万子瑜（赖慰玲饰）的责任，在任何行动中皆安全至上不容有失，谁料接手一宗离奇绑架案后，因為报馆採访主任计颖妍（田蕊妮饰）的关係，一同牵扯在连串官商黑勾结的事件，险象环生，期间曾勒索颖妍的傻贼张克（金刚饰）与同乡刘秋（阮兆祥饰）、关溪（泰臣饰）更成為杀人嫌疑犯，颖妍本与报馆徒弟仔林家荣（吴业坤饰）可公开事件真相却突然叫停、本想进一步调查绑架案的乔柏又发现颖妍隐瞒内情，二人继而展开一场龙凤斗智的捉迷藏，曖昧之间疑云密佈……
