《我係小厨神》举办第三届，参与门槛年龄由过往的8岁改為6岁，发掘更多年纪小小便厨艺出眾的小厨神。经过无数次遴选，22位有潜质的入围者，分「BB小厨神」、「Big Big小厨神」、「自信小厨神」3组进行初赛，角逐8强席位。
8强除要在精心设计的厨房展现令成年人意想不到的煮食技巧外，亦要随主持林盛斌(Bob)、麦美恩(Mayanne)、黄碧莲(Linna)深入平时不能闯入的食材基地，向城中名厨请教下厨技巧。表现突出者，可与Mayanne同到台湾游学，扩阔饮食知识。
参赛者每集要按主题做出精心菜式，用美食俘虏一眾星级评判的味蕾。专业评判Jacky Yu、「肥仔」冯嘉桥、「玻璃朱」Bonnie还会评分，派发「小厨神星章」，数量越多，成為两强的机会自然增多！最后一集，两强综合各集经验及教训，把自己的厨艺发挥至极点，务求坐上小厨神皇座。





第1集 - 海选之战 8强小厨神诞生

22位从海选突围而出的小小参赛者，接受初赛两项考验。他们需要进行试食或试饮，展示自己对食材的认识，亦要在45分鐘限时内，煮出自选菜式显示实力！
参赛小朋友分成三组，6位被编配成「BB小厨神」的年龄只有6-7岁，有小男生煮难以控制口感的天使麵，有小女孩拼出爱心餐盒，甚至有人自称2岁便开始学煮食。有位小朋友在最后5分鐘，竟把所煮心血丢弃，他受了甚麼刺激？陈凯琳、黄心颖抱着没有期望的心态，担任星级评判试食，反而有不少惊喜！
赛前表现轻鬆的其中8位参赛小朋友，被编入「自信小厨神」，星级评判杜如风亦表明毫不给面子，难吃的便会大声投诉！杜如风的确是破坏王，把过多的配料倒进参赛者的煎锅内，这样做会否令他难以晋级？不少参赛者都以创意菜突围而出，有位男孩却以传统「麻婆豆腐」参战，信心十足！
还有8位「Big Big小厨神」，花心机设计8道十分讲究艺术天分的菜式，可是有人对场内用具未太熟悉，事事碰钉，最终成品又能否获得星级评判陈敏之称讚？
经专业评判Jacky Yu、肥仔及玻璃朱的评分后， 8强小厨神随即诞生，三位专业评判对他们又有甚麼意见及勉励呢？
