暑期快将完结，同学们是时候收拾心情重返校园，而六位「是非精」梁嘉琪、李佳芯（Ali）、黄心颖（Jacqueline）、麦美恩（Mayanne）、张秀文（Sammi）和汤洛雯(Roxanne)亦决定以「是非精」一贯的求真精神，向一眾学者、专家学习，探求科学知识，明辨更多「是非」。
《学是学非》来到第三辑，贯彻寓学习於娱乐的风格，轻鬆破解日常生活中经常遇到的谬误。汤兆昇、彭金满、方丽影、吴恒亮等学者继续亮相节目，向「是非精」传授专门知识。上辑经常以不同惹笑造型现身的欧阳伟豪亦会教大家正确的中文，避免写错字、别字，貽笑大方。另外，新一辑加入「是非精运动会」、「鲁宾颖漂流记」两个新环节，前者以运动為主题，「是非精」斗胆向香港体坛名将下战书，挑战这些猛将最擅长的运动项目；至於后者，「是非精」各以搞笑造型上阵，趣味解读不同的科学求生法。

来到压轴一集，森美队长回归主持大局，与「是非精」大玩游戏，於趣味中学习科学知识。
森美队长準备了麵粉、猫砂、厨房纸巾、纸尿片、海棉等道具，测试哪种物料的吸水能力最强。森美要黄心颖、麦美恩、汤洛雯、张秀文分别挑选一种道具放进注满清水的水桶中。「是非精」还要坐在水桶之下，然后拉开水桶底部的塞子。假如她们选择的道具未能成功「吸水」，清水就会倾倒而下，究竟哪位「是非精」会变成「出水芙蓉」？
其后，森美再召集六人进行「火箭升空」实验。他们会在「火箭」内注入清水、空气，利用压力、作用力及反作用力等物理现象，尝试「发射火箭」，最终能否成功？
分子料理近年大行其道，「是非精」对此亦深感兴趣，更希望学习箇中原理及製作方法。梁嘉琪、李佳芯（Ali）於是联同方丽影博士以软雪糕炮製香脆可口的「雪糕脆脆」，又製作「朱古力意粉」，过程中需要用上甚麼特殊物料？
镜头一转，「靚汤」心情欠佳，找好姊妹Ali与嘉琪诉苦。两人听到「靚汤」的伤心事后，均表示要支持她，要她Stand Hard（企硬）！中式英语进入邻坐的Patrick Sir（林溥来）耳中，他当然要出来拨乱反正。究竟「是非精」的英语谬误还闹出甚麼笑话？
