I have found no problems using the file-upload host. You just have to disable adblock and be quick to close all pop-up windows immediately (typing ctrl-w as soon as they pop up). Speed is so-so (~480KB/s) but it is definitely usable. Just a tip: when you have the "click here to download" link use the "right click -> save link as" method (like you should often do on most other hosting services) instead of the simple "left click" otherwise another pop-up ad will come up.

All free file hosting sites have their different behaviors, as downloaders we just have to learn and adapt. As long as they are free and fast what more can you ask for?
