　　该片改编自2003年丹麦影片《冷面赤心》。
　　讲述亚历克斯·刘易斯（连姆·尼森饰）是一位以谨慎精准著称的刺客专家。亚历克斯在拒绝完成一个危险的犯罪组织的任务后，他成为了被刺杀的目标，他必须去追杀那些想要他死的人。美国联邦调查局资深探员文森特·塞拉（盖·皮尔斯饰）、琳达·阿米斯蒂德（塔伊·阿特沃尔饰）和墨西哥情报联络员雨果·马克斯（哈罗德·托雷斯饰）被请来调查那些被刺杀的尸体的踪迹，他们由此更接近亚历克斯，但也引来当地科技大亨达瓦娜·西尔曼（莫妮卡·贝鲁奇饰）的愤怒。在犯罪集团和美国联邦调查局的紧追不舍下，亚历克斯有能力逃开，但他正与严重失忆作斗争，这影响了他的一举一动。随着细节的模糊和敌人的逼近，亚历克斯开始质疑自己的一举一动，以及他最终能信任谁。
