简介：
         这是SMAP的香取慎吾和同事务所的山下智久的第一次合作，两人组成新组合“The MONSTERS”，并演唱首次共演的电视剧《MONSTERS》的主题曲。
　　警视厅一的怪人，平冢平八（香取慎吾 饰）是因其性格而作为仅有一人的“平冢班”独自行动的搜查一课的刑警。虽被周围的人当做讨厌的人对待，但是办案爽快，而且会踏入别人不愿意接触的领域。有着和外表不一样的内在和人际关系的他解决了一个接一个的难案。不理解平八的搜查一课的每个人常常对他的活跃抱有疑问，认为这背后有一些不正当。
　　通过刑警考试的西园寺公辅（山下智久 饰）作为一名新人刑事，来到了这样的搜查一课。是一个富有正义感、纯粹又正直的青年，在正常工作的同时，被其他同事委派对怪人平冢进行盯梢。
　　就是这两个性格迥然的新旧刑警组成了搭档，一切解决这片区域内的所有离奇案件......
